Confession of Faith For Cumberland Presbyterians 2007

The Cumberland Presbyterian denomination was formed in the early 1800s due to differences with conservative Mainline Presbyterians who were less inclined to compromise on predestination and ministry requirements. Through the changes and controversies common to any denomination as old and culturally diverse as the Cumberland Presbyterians, the body has remained united by belief in and proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as referenced in in the confession’s introduction.
